How to transfer microsoft outlook files to new computer?

My old laptop is dead. Thankfully, I was able to copy my whole drive c onto an external hard drive. I know have a new laptop and need to transfer all of my outlook emails addresses etc on to the new one.

I read a previous question asking the same thing and the I can’t find the file. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance
I think this may be a problem. The old computer is dead and I can’t import or export… essentially I just dumped the whole c drive onto an external. I have looked for the pst files and I can’t locate it…. any other suggestions woud be welcomed

Microsoft Outlook stores your data in a Personal Folders (*.pst) file in your WIndows profile. It is generally located in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\ and it is usually named Outlook.pst.

COpy this file to the same location on the new computer, or use Outlook’s import feature.

.pab and .oab are the outlook address books.

    pab is personal
    oab is offline

If you are in XP make sure to search for hidden files and folders.
