What was your first reaction when Apple unveiled the iPad?

Doesn’t have OSX

Can’t multi-task (who likes listening to iTunes while they surf the web, anyways?)

No Adobe Flash support (can’t let other media vendors provide content freely that Apple could be charging fees for!)

No support for PDF or .CHM

Hmm…pretty much worthless in my eyes.
What is your take?

its not just iPad,all apple products are worthless

I pretty much agree with you on all those points. But anyways, who wants to carry a device like that around? I can understand using it regularly if it had all those features. But what Apples as done here is make a iTouch that is 4-5x bigger with the same capabilities.

I believe the iPad is a flop.

It’s just like an iTouch, only it doesn’t fit in your pocket. How convenient!

It has it’s own system software that is the same or similar to what is on the iPhone & iPod Touch. Still no viruses for it and over 150,000 apps that will work on it.
    Not a deal killer.
Flash uses a large amount of ram & processor ability. It would kill the battery life. Adobe is the only one who provides the software. HTML 5 is a more universal format which will probably supplant Flash.
    iWorks will support PDF.
My only problem with it is the tie in to AT&T, I have no AT&T service where I live. If the iPad goes to a universal format with Verizon, I’ll replace my iPOd Touch with it.
My guess is Apple will sell 3 to 5 million the first year, not bad for something you consider worthless.
