Create Help Files

I have files that I have transferred from an old Windows 2000
based pc to my Mac OS X 10.4.8. (basically just moved the files over with ‘Move2Mac’ and some files did not convert correctly).

I need to be able to open, edit and print the .php (microsoft
publisher) files on my Mac Os X system.

I believe the publisher version was 98, but could also have
been 2000 (a while ago, I don’t remember exactly which
version).

I have tried to use all the microsoft applications I have currently installed (Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac), but have had no success.

How can I do this?

open that file again with the Windows OS first, then click File / Save As… on the bottom, choose a format you want to save as, pick one that is for Mac, then copy that file to Mac computer, try to open that file, see if it works

I made a schedule using microsoft word, i think if there is a way to convert it into a picture file, then i can put it as my background pic on my laptop, which would greatly help me keep track of my schedule instead of having to open the microsoft file everytime i need to find out what im suppose to be doing.

Wow, I spent hours last year trying to figure out this question for myself. There are a few programs to do it, but the best thing to do without spending money is take a screenshot by pressing "Prnt Scrn" That will copy the document. Then Control+V (paste) it into a new image on Photoshop or Paint. Crop it to the document, and use save as or export to JPG or PNG. Quality should be as good as what you saw on the work document.

Alternatively, you could save it as a .pdf and export, if you have the necessary software.

Those are the only options without spending money, if you have a PC (Windows).

why do my microsoft word files all have the paragraph symbol and dots between each word now? what happened? and more important-how do i fix it??? please help-i need to finish this paper asap!!

just deactivate the formatting mark, follow these instructions:
Open your Word document – select Tools – Options – choose Tab View – uncheck all checkboxes list in Formatting Marks – then click OK.

email account tends to download all the mails all over again!! which is not case when i import the PST file holding my gmail accounts. Can someone help me with this? I have tried import PST file holding hte yahoo account in all possible manners but it still downloads all the mails from the server over again.

From the Tools menu, choose Email Accounts.

Select the radio button next to "Add a new email account" and click the Next button.

Double-click the Yahoo! account.

Select the Advanced tab.

In the Delivery section at the bottom of the window, ensure the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on server" is un-checked. If you want to save your Yahoo! Mail messages on both the
Yahoo! Mail server and on your local computer, then check this box.

Closed and Restart Outlook.

I’m trying to uplaod a video onto youtube, but it’s telling me that it is in the wrong format.
it is saving in microsoft windows movie maker (.mswmm)
but youtube says it has to be .wmv format, but the only option the "save as" menu gives me is .mswmm
help?

All of a sudden my files have become encrypted and I get a message saying my computer cannot recovr32. What does that mean and how can I fix the problem? Help please!

Make sure your antivirus is updated and run a scan or try an online scanner http://housecall.trendmicro.com. Files don’t normally just get encrypted. Without the key/password you won’t likely decrypt your files. But if it is a virus that encrypted them you might be able to find online the method to decrypt.

I have just gotten a new laptop, with Microsoft Vista. I have hidden folders on my USB stick, and do not know how to search for and/or view them on with Microsoft Vista (there doesnt seem to be an option. Can somebody please help?

Alright, here is the thing.
I have microsoft word 2003. i have been working on a project using word. (i have the word file on a USB flash disk). I recently installed norton internet security 2007. Anyway, i was in the middle of the writing and i pressed save. i got a message that said "Could not save because the file is unavailable". i looked up the file in the USB drive where it should be, but it wasn’t there anymore. Luckily i had a back up on the same flash disk. i opened it and continued working, saving the work every few minutes. Finally, it also gave me the same message. it said that once of the caused is this: an antivirus program might thought that this file is infected and deleted it. i had another back up and i scanned the file and it said it was not infected. i updated norton again. what is the problem? i am afraid to work on the project again as i might lose it. what can i do? please help. thank you so much.

Try to uninstall norton internet security 2007 then reboot. The problem has similarities with what program is compatible to Windows 2000 and programs compatible with Windows XP. Higher version of OS may not conflict programs created from the lower versions but when it comes to program created from Higher version of OS installed to lower version of OS, there are tendency that programs do conflict.

In Saving program, try to save it first in the HDD to make sure that your file is in good hands before placing it in your Flash drive.

Sound obselete isnt it? But that’s what our missionary asked me to help her. She just came from home service and upon return to the field she wanted to convert her wordperfect files to msword. Has there any software that could do this?

No need for software to change just go to the document and go to save as and choose from the list of file types and then choose save as microsoft word document.
