But When I try to open a Excel file immedialtely after Logon to system…. a Error message appears and says: " Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." -

So.. needs help to sort out the probs…

.docx is the file extension for Microsoft Word 2007. If you cannot open the .docx files then I don’t know what to tell you because it should open. You can open MS Word 2007 and then go to the "File" menu and click "Open" then find the file and open it. It should open. If it doesn’t open then you messed something up when you saved the file.

I have a really important spreadsheet that I need for work tomorrow, and on my computer(laptop Windows Vista) it says with a red cross that windows cannot find the file. Then says the whole document name etc. and make sure you typed the name correctly.
IT’S SO ANNOYING. What has gone wrong?

I updated it already.

First do a Search to find out the location of the file you want to open. Either type the full name including the .xls extension or type a few of the name’s characters followed by an *. Example: Myfile.xls or Myfi*.*
Right-click Start, click Explore, find the location of the folder where the Search located it, find the file, double-click it. It should start Excel and load your file. Another thing, if it is a 2007 Excel file, then its extension would be .xlsx

Just open them up in works. It might ask to install a converter. if so, install it from the microsoft works cd.

The best solution would be to download Open Office. Its an open source office software just like Microsoft Office.

Go back to OpenOffice and save them as RTF or Word97 files.

You mean how to send a PowerPoint file via email? Here are some tips:
Several tips:
1.Attach it to your email. This may cause some problems: you may fail to upload it as attachment as a PowerPoint file always has a big size; or the recipient cannot open the file if he is using a different version of MS Office other than 2003.
2.Zip it to a smaller size before attaching. The same trouble of version compatibility may occur using this method.
3.Convert it to video and then email as attachment. PowerPoint presentation in video format is safer and more compatible with a different OS.

no and 2003 documents are compatible with 2007
note: you should change your documents to 2003 form to people with office 2003 because they are not compatible (go to save as: 97-2003 document)

Depending on what extra aircrafts you have, you can install them right into your aircraft folder in FS2004.

Some come with their own control panels, so you have to install the panel files into the panels folder in FS2004.

You can also go to http://www.flightsim.com and you’ll find a section there that will explain how to install new aircraft on FS2004.
